CHRISTMAS

Christmas Get-Together
Service ~ Dinner ~ Party
Thursday, December 8

We have several opportunities for you and your church to bless someone else at Gibsontown Ministries, Christmas Get-Together.  A couple of years ago we started collecting gifts (new and slightly used) items to give away at this annual event.  It was such a hit we have continued to do that since. We want every person who attends to receive a gift because for many this will be the only gift they will receive for Christmas.  It can be most anything (home decor, gloves, candy, small appliances, personal items, Christmas decor, toys, etc.). Some items that have been popular have been handmade toboggans and small hand tied quilts. We need gifts for both boys, girls, women and men or all ages.

We also need food items for the Dinner.  If you are interested in help provide food you may contact Sybil.  We have a menu and she can let you know what is needed.  As part of the meal we need a variety of desserts.

Give us a call if you would like to get involved!

IMMEDIATE NEED

Each Thursday during Bible Study classes at 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM we are in need of additional volunteers to help with child care while parents and/or grandparents attend class. Three - four additional volunteers are needed for each class.  Four additional volunteers are needed during the 5:00 pm class when all of the babies that regularly attend are present.   Please understand this is an immediate need.  Our insurance requires that all volunteers submit to and pass a background check.  Please prayerfully consider volunteering and if you feel the Lord leading and would be willing help out, contact Sybil at  423/765-2950.

Please continue to pray for the ministry at Gibsontown Ministries!  We continue to see God at work in the lives of those who attend.

Winter Weather Policy

If Sullivan County schools are closed or dismiss school early due to winter weather, Gibsontown Ministries will also be closed.  We follow this policy because many of our volunteers live outside the city in Sullivan County.
