ON GOING MINISTRIES

Freeway – Kingsport:  Worship Service is at 5:00 pm on Sundays and currently meets at Reedy Pointe (formerly Cloud) Apartments, Community Center,1072 Reedy Place.  The service is followed by a meal.  For transportation call 423-863-1165.


Diapers and Devotions:
  Thursday's @ 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM   Participants coming for Bible study are offered a limited supply of diapers (baby or adult) and baby wipes and hygiene items as available. 

Good News Club for Children:  Thursday's at 5:00 PM.  Soon to start on Sunday's at 5:00 PM

Life Skills Classes:  A variety of classes have been offered such as couponing, parenting, cooking and menu planning, financial planning and basic sewing classes.  We hope to continue to offer a broader range of classes to assist participants in having a more productive life and helping to develop job skills.

Bible Study Classes:   Bible Study classes cover basic to more in-depth studies of the scripture. From time-to-time video-based studies have been offered.  Currently the ladies' class on Thursday morning at 11:00 am is taught by Vicki Fox.  Thursday evenings at 5:00 pm there is a coed class taught by Wayne Sherfey.

Clothes Closet:  We once again have a clothes closet which reopened this summer (2023).  Lisa and Mike Larsen lead this ministry.

Food Pantry:  There is always a need for food.  Please go to the Food Pantry page for a list of items we try to stock.

Laundry Ministry: We have two washers and two dryers.  We make these available for use for a small fee of $0.25 per load.  We provide detergent and dryer sheets. --  Appointments can be made to do laundry.

Shower Ministry:  We have a shower in the men's and ladies restrooms.  -- Showers are by appointment.


With the growing homeless population and many others finding themselves having a difficult time making ends meet, Gibsontown Ministries seeks to meet many of the basic physical needs and offering hope through Jesus Christ to supply for spiritual needs.  We are a Christ-centered ministry seeking to minister mainly to the spiritual needs.  We believe that through Christ nothing is impossible.
