School Supplies Distribution

School supplies registration is now open for those that live in the Gibsontown / Cloud Apartments community that can not afford to purchase supplies for their child/ren. Registration will end at 5:00 pm, July 20.  Click HERE to register.

Each child that registers will receive a package of grade-appropriate school supplies on Friday, August 3 between 1:00pm - 3:00 pm.  Photo  ID will be required.  Children can only be registered by parent or guardian.  

School supplies and donations are also being accepted and will be received by First Baptist Church, Kingsport.  The grade-appropriate packages will be prepared on Friday morning, August 3.  Times tba.

Cindy Eldridge

Gibsontown Ministries is forever grateful for Cindy Eldridge and the investment she made into the lives of so many as she taught Bible Study classes on Thursday mornings until her illness.  She and husband Terry were also a big part of Dorothy Street Mission prior to the ministry changing to Gibsontown Ministries.  Cindy passed into her eternal home in heaven on Saturday, September 9 following a courageous battle with leukemia.  A Celebration of Life Service for Cindy Vaughn Eldridge will be held at 6:30 pm Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at West Colonial Hills Baptist Church, 1205 Kendrick Creek Rd., Kingsport, TN 37663.

SPECIAL NEED

One of the toughest parts of being a single mom is surviving financially.  Not having transportation is a big reason many can not find employment or go to school to get a better job.   A young woman that comes to Thursday Bible Studies at Gibsontown Ministries is employed and she is also a student at Northeast State Community College all while being mom to a 4 year old son.  She is working very hard to make ends meet but there is just not enough funds.  She is in desperate need of a car to get to her job and school.  If you would be willing to help her out by donating a car, please  CLICK HERE to let us know.  Please pray for her as she gets on her feet and provides for herself and her son.
