SCHOOL SUPPLIES & HAIR CUTS

ANNUAL SCHOOL SUPPLIES DISTRIBUTION:  First Baptist Church will be once again coordinating and receiving donation Thursday, July 24th, 10:00 am - 11:30 am in the Fellowship Hall. Volunteers are needed to help bag the supplies on Monday, July 28th. Distribution will be Friday, August 1st at Gibsontown Ministries, 1022 Dorothy Street. Volunteers will be needed that day as well. Students who have pre-registered will pick up a package of grade appropriate supplies Friday, August 1, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.

FREE HAIR CUTS will be offered Friday, August 1st to school aged children that have preregistered.  Limited space available.

Last year over 230 students were given packages of grade appropriate supplies through Gibsontown Ministries under the coordination of First Baptist Church with the help of several area churches.

Thursday, May 29th Susan Spaugh will begin a new Bible study entitled "How You Know God's Your Father".

Are you sure you're a child of God? How do you know? The key to lasting peace, confidence, and joy in the Christian life is knowing for sure who you are and Whose you are. This step-by-step walk through 1 John can help you discover whether or not you are a true child of God.

By taking note of the way the Bible describes the differences between God's children and those of Satan, you can gain clearer insight into where you stand with God. Through this study you will see how your lifestyle will reflect the character of the One to whom you belong.

Dig into the Apostle John's first letter with Kay Arthur and David and B.J. Lawson. And discover what it means to walk in the light instead of darkness.

Join us Thursday's at 11:00 AM for this new study or Thursday evenings at 5:00 pm with Wayne Sherfey facilitating an ongoing walk through the Bible.
