SCHOOL SUPPLIES DISTRIBUTION

School will soon be back in session!  Gibsontown Ministries is in the process of preparing for our ANNUAL SCHOOL SUPPLIES DISTRIBUTION which is coordinated by our wonderful friends at First Baptist Church, Kingsport.  Last year over 300 students were given grade appropriate supplies.  That would not have been possible without the help of First Baptist Church and other area churches who collected supplies. Church groups are being asked to sponsor a school supplies drive to provide the needed supplies for this year.  For a list of items needed please go to the 2015-16 School Supplies Distribution page (at the top of this page).

Students should register to receive a grade appropriate bag of initial supplies to start the school year. This ministry is to assist those who have financial hardships. To register, you may go to Gibsontown Ministries at 1022 Dorothy Street, Kingsport on Thursday's; July 2, July 9, July 16, July 23 between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm or register online by clicking Here. Students must pick up their supplies on Friday, July 31 between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Bags will be prepared for those that register ahead of time.  Bags that are left after 3:00 pm will be available on a first come first served basis.

To God be the glory!

Gibsontown Ministries Winter Weather Closing Policy

WINTER WEATHER CLOSING POLICY

If Sullivan County schools are closed or dismiss school early due to winter weather,
Gibsontown Ministries will also be closed.  We follow this policy because many of our
volunteers live outside the city in Sullivan County.
