Thanksgiving/Christmas Dinner

Just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this years Thanksgiving/Christmas Dinner a success! Tonight 84+ people were served and approximately 25 meals were delivered to neighborhood shut-ins.  To God be the glory!!!! 

It would not have been possible without the many churches and individuals that donated food and funding, loaned tables AND the many that volunteered.  Thanks so much for wishing the Gibsontown Community a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!  May God bless you beyond your wildest dreams this Christmas and in the new year ahead.

Final count of those who attended is finally in......  148!!!!  Thanks again so very much!!

Fall Festival

We had a great time today at our Fall Festival!  There were  55 people that registered but we fed about 75. We want to thank those that helped to make it possible either by volunteering and/or donating items including Gravely Baptist Church, First Baptist Church, W. Colonial Hills Baptist Church, and Indian Springs Baptist Church.  Check out more photos on the Photo page.

Dorothy Street Property Purchase

Tuesday, October 23rd in their annual meeting Sullivan Baptist Association voted to sell the Dorothy Street property to Gibsontown Ministries for $100.  We are more than overwhelmed by what God is doing and so excited to be apart of what He plans for this ministry.  Our desire is to take each step of this journey following Christ. Please pray we will be good stewards of what God has given. Thank you so very much for blessing us Sullivan Baptist Association!!  Thank you so much Father God for your abundant blessings!  We are humbled by Your presence, oh Lord.  All glory and honor to You!  "For nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke 1:37

Fall Festival at Gibsontown Ministries

FALL FESTIVAL - SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27th

Saturday, October 27th, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM we will be having a Community Fall Festival at Gibsontown Ministries, 1022 Dorothy Street.  Volunteers are needed to help with games and in the kitchen.  We will be serving hot dogs and all the fixings.  If you have a game you would like to bring we would really appreciate it.  We also need candy and lots of it. God's at work.....More Shoes for Kids and Growing Bible Study

God is at work at Gibsontown Ministries. Eleven more pairs of shoes were given away to children yesterday!  That means warm dry toes this winter.  Thanks again to everyone who donated!  Four pairs of shoes were purchased yesterday to fit four of the children who came Saturday but couldn't find there size.  Funds have been donated or pledged which should allow us to purchase the rest that are needed. 

Diapers and Devotions had 20 people in attendance last night. Some were new faces.  This Bible study time continues to grow.  Not everyone who comes, comes to receive diapers following the Bible study.  Some are just coming for the Bible study.  Praise the Lord!

Thanks to Indian Springs Baptist Church for all of the shoes and socks that you donated!!!  Today children from Cloud Apartments, Gibsontown area and Interfaith Hospitality received shoes and socks.  Fifty two children were fitted and walked out with warm toes. We only need to purchase shoes for 11 children. Others will be receiving shoes in the coming weeks. Thanks to everyone who helped!!  You helped share the love of Christ and bless children and their families today! 

Shoes are ready for tomorrow's distribution.  We have 75 kids pre-registered to receive shoes.

Today the shoes and socks will be sorted and organized ready for the distribution tomorrow afternoon.

SHOES AND SOCKS DISTRIBUTION

Dropped off another load of shoes and socks this afternoon. Expecting another car load tomorrow.  Getting ready for the SHOES AND SOCKS DISTRIBUTION on Saturday!  Please pray for that we will not only give a pair of shoes and socks to kids in Jesus name but will have the opportunity to share Christ with the parents.
